  1. 1. My main character Michael Vassikan would not fit in my town because he would get arrested if he saw a BMW. He would get in a lot of trouble for doing bad things. Michael likes to steal but I don't like to get things for free.

    2.

  2. 1. The main character Katniss in my book would not fit in because of here manners. Here manners and how she dresses would make here look like a slob. Also we do not do a lot of hunting in delaware and that is all she does. Last, she would not fit in is because she has no idea what a car is and how it works.

    2. Some clues that my book is science fiction is because it talks about the mockingjay and how the capital created the mutation. Also it talks about the capital being able to fix illnesses that cant be cured in todays society.

    1. My main character, Juan Cabrillo would not fit in in my town. He would not fit in here because he is a CIA operative, and nothing ever happens in Lower Slower Delaware. He would rather be spying on terrorists in northern India then going to The Dover Mall.

    2. My book THE JUNGLE started out Science-Fiction, but has lead away from it. However the Summary says later in the book it will become a Sy-Fi again.

1.Think Percy could fit in at my town (Camden) because he is`a "Half Blood" and that mean he's part human. He seems like a cool guy in total too. Finnaly he will save my day if some bad people come to kill me :) yay!

    2.monsters,cyclops,halfbloods ect.

  5. 2. This all leads to science fiction! mutants made and everything makes me more into the book. in historical fiction theres no monsters and people with powers and that leads to one last catagory science fiction

  6. 1. I think Katness would not fit in to my town because she is a winner of a game that consists of killing. Killing is a large crime in America so she would be more of a criminal than a regular person. Also, she is very rich. There are not many people if not none in Delaware that are that rich. Katness also hunts with a bow and arrow; most girls in Dover do not sneak into the woods to go hunting.
    2. Some clues that the book CATCHING FIRE is science fiction are that they mutate animals to help the government control the people.

  7. 1.) My main character Katniss Everdeen might fit in if she moved to my town. She really doesn't like the public & she likes to hunt & we have a bunch of wild animals & trees around here. Then she could just act like her normal self & she would fit right in!

2.) Some clues that show my books science fiction is this takes place in the future with the Hunger Games & this may actually happen to us. & it could be believable is this was non fiction.

  8. 1.If my main character moved to my town he would definatly not fit in. He is a "107" year old Tsaravich and has Hemophillia. He belives he's above the law and is treated to the highest of all men in Russia.
2.Alexi Romanov is a young Tsaravich of Russia(1904-1916 untill he time traveld). He has witnessed the atempted murder of his "Friend" Fathor Gregory. fter they disposed of the body in a river e comes to life again and the Alexi goes into state of blackness. He wakes up in 2010, 106 years since he was born. He meets a girl in America. Later on he finds out that they are cousins from a common Polish ancestor. All of they facts above perswade me to belive that this is a science fiction.

  9. 1. My book is Star Trek Voyager Ragnarok and the main character is Captain Janeway. If the Captain moved to my town, she would fit in some ways but in other ways she would not. She would fit in because she is a normal human from Earth but she would not fit in because she is use to very high tech equipment so she would get mad trying to do things that would be so easy to do in her time. If she did move to my town, the town would start to grow diverse because she is a very honorable and a respectful leader and at the same time she is a professional scientist. It would be difficult for her in my town to travel because she is use to traveling by spaceship.

    2. Some new clues to say that my book is sceiene fiction is that they are in spaceships that can fly anywhere. They also have a guide that is a alien and we have not even seen a REAL alien.....yet. Another clue is that an alien race destroyed planets because they were at war and stripped the planets of their metals very quickly. They made the planets die because the crust between the soil and the core is some kind of material that they can use to build spaceships.

  10. 1.My main character, Jobs, would fit in to my town because he is just like a human by his actions. His values and tastes are different because he is a remnant that needs to over ride the mother ship to gain control. While my town is filled with people who don't want to be late to work.
2.A new clue that shows me that my book is science fiction is when a squid stabs a pony in the heart with metal , then the pony disappears and leaves a red lazer.

  11. My main character Colin Wagner would most likely be able to somewhat fit in in in the town because in the book, he moved from Scotland all the way to America. He was able to find help and talk to the right people until he made it into the help of old allies who help him along the way. He was kidnapped because of the powers he posses and inherited from his parents. He was kidnapped because his best friend Danny Cooper is also a super hero and long ago his father told the future and Danny was leading a war that could ruin the world, the whole point of their capture is to try to save the world for something Danny may or may not do in real life. He might not be able to fit in because of his peculiar powers and the weird non-ability to control them so at some point his powers could go out of control causing him to not fit in. So Colin could or could not fit in in our society.

    2) I know my book is science-fiction because in the story most of the characters have super powers some of them being super speed, being able to transform into diamond substance, absorbing energy and super strength and intelligence. Another reason this is science fiction is because Max Dalton who is a retired super hero, is able to own a hybrid between a helicopter and an airplane that is able to maneuver easily and differently from the planes and copters we see today.

  12. 1.My main character Stephen Swain would fit in my town because he is an ordinary person so I think he would fit in quite well. He is ordinary because he is an average doctor and has one child. Some tastes that he has that are similar to my hometown is that he likes football. His favorite team is the Washington Redskins and a lot of people around here like the Redskins because of the fact that Delaware doesn't have a professional football team and the Redskins are very close because they are in Washington DC. He is also very humble which would fit in with my hometowns values.
2.I can tell that my book is science fiction because at the end of my reading Stephen Swain is teleported. And in science fiction books there are usually strange devices that perform odd tasks. Another thing is that all the windows and exits are blocked off with an electric current and this is another unexplained happening.

  13. The main character in my book is Tally.I belive Tally would fit in.She is a very kind person who belives it doesnt matter what you look like,it matters whats inside.Even though people in our town can be very rude and judgemental,I think there is also a majority of people who care about who you are as a person and not just what you look like.Like I said earlier there are people in this town who belive the same as Tally.
Some clues that my book is science fiction is that there is a certain machine/transportation called hoverboards,a very smart surf like board that moves, based upon your senses and nerves.I know that the future leads to higher technology which is also science related.

1.My main charcter would not fit in because he is alawys unappreceative with the things he has he would hate all the values of my hometown and would not understand it.
2.The book takes place in space traveling around the universe, they have technology not invented yet,and there are different values in his time.

  15. 1. If my main character, Katniss, moved in town, she probably wouldn't fit in because she hunts and kills animals. Also, Katniss doesn't really care what people say about her, she rather be herself, some people here care about what people think about them and they act like someone their not. Although, she has some similarities, like going to school, and taking care of her family.

    2. My book is Science Fiction because we dont have super high speed trains.

  16. 1. the main character in CATCHING FIRE Katniss Everdeen would not fit in at Dover.we live two very different life styles for example she hunts for her food and we buy ours at stores.also our technology is alot more advanvced then district 12s.plus she was raised very differently from people in dover.people in dover are also free unlike katniss. But she values some of the same things as people in dover like family, friend and people.

    2. another clue why my book is science fiction is because some of the people can drive around in hoover crafts which have not been invented yet.

  17. 1. snowball the communist pig. He would not fit in because he wold try to kill us all in our sleep. Also he is a pig and pigs do not fit in with humans.
    2. another clue that my book is science fiction is that pigs are able to write. Also they are able to harvest wheat and beat humans with harnesses.

  18. i have to disagree and agree with Virjohn B. because i know lots of people in dover that hunt and kill animals alot but they do it for the sport. also i think some people would respect katniss for just being her self and not caring about what other people think about her. but there would be some people that dilike her for that.

  19. RESPONSE TO TANNER B. I do not agree with your first example of katness looking like a slob. I think this because she dresses just as good as us if not better ever since the games. Your second example is similar to the one I used I believe that one is true because people do not kill each other or animals for that matter here in Delaware.

  20. REPONSE TO Tanner B:
I know right? But she has a eason of not having manners because of the fact of her surrounding's she lived in a dump.

  21. In response to Michael c. That is a good response and I think the same thing. Katniss would not fit in to our daily life because she wouldn't be used to such a relaxed way of life. For example, she doesn't know what a car is and she doesn't know how to buy food or how money works. And other things that we are used to.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Response to Michael Clavier:
I agree that Katniss would not fit in Dover because we have a Wal-Mart and stuff like that and she is used to having to make her own bow and arrows and hunt for food in the woods. They also have advanced techonolgy and mutated animals to deal with.

    ReplyDelete
  23. In response to Danny N: I do not agree with what you said about the CIA operative not fitting in. I think that a CIA operative would be trained to fit in so they dont draw attention to themselves. I do agree that Juan could get bored in Delaware.

  24. 1)Yes Roy will fit in beacuse he plays football and all my friends in my town love to play football with older guys so they can get better. His values are to play football and help people. That would work out good in my town.2)I can tell my book is science fiction beacuse Roy gets yelled at and punished for stutering. In reall life no coach will do such a thing.

  25. IN RESPONCE TO MICHEAL CLAVIER
Micheal, I belive that we(Delawarians) do have a different life style but we also have a very simalar one. How rich she is, that compares to the amount of items we buy at the store,on vaction, or anyother items. Sure, her district is technological deprived but that is kind of like Delaware. We don't have subways or skyrails or night vision glasses that work really well(at least not for civillian use). Instead of looking at our differences, look at our simalarites. If everyone could do this, our world would be a better place.

    ReplyDelete
  26. RESPONSE TO TANER
I liked your response Taner, but i would think that Katniss would fit into our town. The reason why is because she is smart and can adapt to many enviorments quickly. For example, Katniss adapted to the arena in the Hunger Games . She knew where to go ,what to eat, where the water sources are , and how to survive in the arena's enviorment. So i would think that Katniss would be able to fit into our town.

  27. IN RESPONSE TO REILY C.
Your person sounds like he could go either way with fitting in. He sounds like just a regular kid, that could fit in no problem. His super powers are what probably make him different from everyone else. No NORMAL kid has super powers! I see how you say he can go either way.

  28. RESPONSE TO DYLAN R
    2. What you said about your main character you make it seem like he will really fit in with the population by the clues you give us on his characteristics. Also I think that he would not be easily identifiable in a crowd of normal people.

    ReplyDelete
  29. IN RESPONSE TO TANNER: I agree with you that your main character would not fit in our town. my character also would not fit in here in delaware because of simalar reasons and the fact that he is a wizard who has done many adventurous things. It would be hard for Katniss and Harry both to live in Delaware.

    ReplyDelete
  30. yes my character will fit in because he cracks jokes, and goes to the principals office like any other child but until my character dose turn into a alien he would fit in

  31. 1) The main character in my book, Katniss Everdeen, would not fit in. Katniss would not fit in because most people are very social. people like to talk alot and interact. katniss just stays in bed and cries alot. She moans for hours and barely leaves her house.

2)A reason my book is science fiction is because they have hovercrafts. hovercrafts are not very common in society today. this shows that this is an advancement in technology
