  1. 1) Some things I cherish in life is soccer games, Lacrosse games, and video games. I like playing in soccer games because you get to run around a alot and kick the ball in goals if you do then you win which is the best part. I like Lacrosse games because you have a lot gear to put on, to protect you and you get to check and deck people with your body and your Lacrosse stick. I like playing video games because you can talk to your friends online and catch up with them and you can fight each other on certain games. Some things my main character cherishes are his family, his dad, and his little sister. He cherishes his family because that is what he has and if it disappeared he would be terrified and would never be the same. He cares about his dad because he wonders what his house would be like if his dad comes back after about 3 years. He cares about his little sister because when she fell down the vent in the beginning of the book he went after her right away. The plot helped me deside the values of Gregor because Gregor would always talk about what he cares most of and what he would do for them if something happened to them. Gregor really cares a lot about his family members than I do with sports, I still care about my family ,but sports are just a little cooler.

    2) Some more clues of that my book is fantasy are flying/talking bats, rat kings ganging up with the good guys , and a lot of good guys ideing that should not have died and they could've been saved.

I cherish my life as a whole, my loving parents, basketball, and friendship. I would say that I cherish these things because my life is everything I could have to enjoy. I like my new school, the house that I live in, the things that I am greatful for having, and my characteristics as a human being that I possess. All of this would not be possible without my two parents that I know will always be on my side no matter what. Basketball is one of the only things out of few that I could do on my free time to work towards a goal of becoming better and better each day. Another thing that I cherish is friendship because I expect people to respect others just like I would respect them. This is important to me because I don't like it when people say "I am going to be there for you" and it turns out that they are not worth it. If someone promises something to me I would take their word for it. In my book SWORD OF THE RIGHTFUL KING, Gawaine's mother values power, magic, ruling a country, her children (to use them), giving people a hard time, and sabotage. I was able to figure this out because of the start of the book she told Gawaine that he was her eyes and ears when he goes to Arthurs' home. She is obsessed with power ( even Merlinus said this in his mind when he was thinking of a plan). She devotes some of her life doing magic because sometimes Gawaine feels as if she is controling him with magic, and in the start of the book Gawaine was thinking about his mother telling him that " the best way to prepare a Prince is by testing him by giving him a hard time. My values are different from Morgause because I actually like the good things in life while she just likes to sabotoge others into doing things unwillingly. But on the other hand they are the same because I do magic while at the same time Morgause does too. ( But I am an illusionist while she does dark magic.)
I know that this book is fantasy because it talks about Morgause looking through water watching her son's very move which is imposible since she is using "magic"

  3. In my life I cherish my grades, my family, my friends, basketball, etc... The main character of my book[Percy Jackson] values trust, teamwork, friendship, knowledge, and family. The plot helped me understand Percy's values because if Percy wants to be successful in finding Zeus's master bolt, he has to value trust, teamwork, and friendship. If he didn't he and his teammates would fail their quest because they can't work together. He values knowledge because he is always wanting to learn something new. I know he values his family because his mom was the most important person in the world to him. It turns out that Percy values family and friendship just as much as I do. He is not much different than I am.

    2. I know my book is fantasy because the main character[Percy Jackson] was attacked by mythical bat-like creatures. Another clue is that Percy has a ball point pen that turns into a sword and his friend Annabeth has an invisible hat. Obviously these creatures and weapons were made up.

  4. 1. Things I cherish are track and field, cross country, basketball, my cats, books, my iPod, being home alone, math, etc. Some things Harry cherishes in HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS is Hermione and Ron, the Weasleys, the memories of Dumbledore and Sirius, and also the Order of the Phoenix. The things Harry and I cherish are very different, as I do not spend my days defeating Voldemort, finding Horcruxes, and breaking into the Ministry of Magic. We both do cherish our friends, though.
    2. Some clues that my book is fantasy is that the characters are wizards who use magic. Also, they are hunting down horcruxes, which are part of someones soul. This is obviously not real.

  5. Somethings I cherish in life are family, friends, basketball, school and fried chicken. Now with Ryan, his values were a little different. He valued frendship, aliens, mysteries working hard, and being different. Ryan always had a friend weither it was Ellis or his sister,(someone that was always by his side) even when they had disagreements. In the story Ryan would always talk about aliens as being a reason for everything such as the discs on the ground. Even when thinking about the aliens he would always try to find the mystery behind it all. Also, eventhough he was failing in school figuring things out was something he worked hard at. Acutally he worked hard at everything he valued. Last but not least, he was different or at least from his sister, he didn't do all his work, he failed his test and was a dissapointment to the family, where Taylor was the exact opposite.

    2. Some more clues that determine that this book is fantasy is that their are different names and phrases you that you don't hear in real life. some such as alQuazae and "Double Detention (as in on the same day).

  7. 1. Things that i cherish in life is soccer, cars, family, high tech computers, bikes, and music. The main character, Roise, in my book the DRAGON'S KEEP values her family, the villagers, her staff of workers, her friend Kit, and her nurse maid , Marn. The plot helped me understand what the main character, Roise values. In the book the author mentions how Roise took Kit from her evil wich master and then raised her as she lived in the castle with Roise.Roise said how she would do anything to save her people from the evil dragon and in the event during the attack of the dragon she begged her parents to stay inside the castle and to not go outside to attack the beast. Roise always treats her staff of workers with respect and always wishes for them to be safe every day.She always checks up on them to see how they are doing. Katniss loves her nurse maid Marn. Roise thinks of Marn as a second mother and she cares for Marn because Marn cares for her. Roise would always go to Marn whenever she feels sad,and thinks of unpleasent, disturbing thoughts. Both Roise and i have only one similar value, and it's that we both love our family. We care about our family and do not want anything bad hapening to them.

    2. There is not any new clues that make my book fantasy ,but there are some clues from previous chapters that keep showing up whenever i read the book to help show why my book is fantasy. The clues are there is still dragons, serpents, and black magic.More dragons attack the villagers , the sea serpents haunt the sea, and black magic is still cursing Roise's finger ruining her future. However just because there isn't any new clues that make my book fantasy doesn't mean there won't be any, I just have to keep on reading.

  9. 1. Somethings I cherish in life is definitely free time, like playing with friends outside or playing on my xbox. I also have some pretty good friendships with people that help guide me along the way. Sometimes I perform antics here and there. The main character values life because when she was in a church that got covered with flames, she almost lost it. Macey cherishes friendships for example Austin, Lindsay, Grace. Fire is starting to prickle at her, because she has now expirenced it she can not stop thinking about it. She especially like free time and hanging out with friends or having family discussions with a smile on her face as she does it. I think that the values in life she cherishes make her sound like a very good person. During the book i can tell what her mood is, so it lets me understand the setting and what is taking place.

    2. Some more clues that tell me the book is fantasy are that when visitors stop by Macey does not hesitate to ask what happened in 1959 when someone burnt down the barn in their community. Appearently a teacher lived there and he eascaped as the fire took place.

  10. 1.I am reading ELDEST by Christopher Paolini, things i cherish in life are lacrosse and sleeping because they are two things i do alot, five things Eragon would cherish are Saphira because she is his dragon they share thoughts and emotins, magic because without he would surely be dead, Arya who is an elf he has a crush on even though she is a very distant emotionless character, Oromis because he trains Eragon and without him he would have no training and would not be able to defend himself and last Roran, he is Eragons cousin but he is all the family Eragon has left alive eveb though he is also going through a tough time like Eragon
2.My book is fantasy because it involves use of magic as well as dwarves, elves and dragons. People can do extraordinary things that canr hapen in real life so its not realistic or historical, its not science fiction because it takes place in a time where there is very limited technology unlike svience fiction therefore it must be a fantasy

  11. 1. Some things I cherish in life are first, my phone. Second, my friends. Third, my dance studio. Fourth, My family. Last, my bed! Five things that the main character Harry in my book HARRY POTTER AND THE PRIZONER OF AZKABAN cherishes most would be first, his wand which is kinda like me and my cell phone because i always need it with me for emergencys. Second, his friends also because they are basicly his family. Third, his school Hogwarts for magic like my hobie dance his is magic. Fourth, professers because they guide him as the role of his parents that were both killed. Fifth, Harrys Owl that he got for his birthday. He would not cherish his bed because he always has bad nightmares of The Dark Lord Voldomort.

    2. There are things that show my book is fantasy that wasnt shown earlier. For example in order to get in to your dorm room you need to tell the talking picture the password that only you and the picture knows. Also, there are these creatures called dementors that suck the life out of u leaving you with your bad memorys and they are only seen by wizards.

  12. 1. A list of things I cherish is my MP3,TV,COMPUTER,SHOOS,CLOTHS,and friends and family. Six things my main character cherish is friends, health, family, home, cloths, and life. It helps me understand what the character values are because depending on what they cherish there values show. Are lists are the same in we both like cloths, friends, and family.
    2. the events, time, charterers, plot, and setting is how you can tell if your book is fantasy. If it couldent happen at all.

  14. Things that I cherish is my family and friends and i love to cherish sports. The 5 things Harry values is his friends,Dumbuldor, the Headmaster of Hogwarts,Quidditch(a sports game with magic), Hedwig(Harrys pet owl),and Gryffindor. The plot helped me understand the values of my main character because Hogwarts is Harry's home and his freinds,Ron and Hermione, help him through the adventure he is going to.Me and Harrys value are the same because I like sports and Quidditch is like a sport.Plus,Harry and I cherish our freinds.

How I know that my book is Fantasy is that they use flying broom sticks for Quidditch.I also can tell this is Fantasy by Harry's freind,Ron,in one class,Ron had to turn his rat into a cup,but it didnt turn out right.

  15. DEEP WIZARDRY
I cherish programming, making paper airplanes, playing games, my family, and soccer. The main character cherishes wizardry, moving around in water as a whale, her family, telling the truth, swimming, and spells. I know this because all through out the book, Nita is focussed on wizardry. When she turns into a whale, before she does anything serious she swims around playing. Plus, she didn't want to lie about wizardry to her parents, and she was always swimming, even before they became wizards and had to go into the water alot. Also she casts spells along with wizardry throughout the story. What she cherishes is unlike mine because I dont live in a magic world where I can perform wizardry, but her likes are similar to mine because she cherishes her family.

It is a fantasy because Nita promises to sing a song to save the world, and the sea will be mad at her if she breaks her promise. In real life, songs can't capture evil beings to save the world, and the sea can't have emotions.
